Scholarships

Ad Fed ECI has offered college scholarships for more than 20 years to students majoring or minoring in advertising, marketing or a related area. Applications are usually due in March. The Education Committee is responsible for developing and implementing the scholarship policies, procedures, application process, and selection of the recipients.

2008-2009 Scholarship Recipients

Anne Condran AdFed Scholarship is named in the honor of executive director of AdFed of East Central Indiana. Condran continues to direct and lead the organization to top honors in the AAF club achievement competitions. Under her leadership AdFed East Central Indiana has been named Division III Club of the Year in 2002, 2006, 2006, and 2007. The first annual Anne Condran AdFed Scholarship was presented April 11. 2008 to Jeffrey V. Renoe.

 

 

2009 Anne Condran Ad Fed East Central IN Scholarship

Jeffrey V. Renoe, Indianapolis, a student in the Ball State University journalism department who is majoring in advertising. Jeff is 2008 vice president of the American Advertising Federation Ball State University chapter. He has had internships as such prestigious places as the Zimmerman Advertising agency in the Chicago area and who is a former ADDY Award winner. He won the 2008 Best of Show Student ADDY Award and was received the 2008 Outstanding Student Award presented by AdFed ECI.

 

2009 Ad Fed Scholarship

Jordan Michael Brewer, Muncie, a student a Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN is studying business and journalism. He will be a sophomore at Wabash, where he is involved with Phi Delta Theta fraternity and Wabash College Chapel. He has just completed a successful freshman year. He is also involved in First Presbyterian Church in Muncie, where he has helped with the soup kitchen, and he has been involved in the Big Brother Big Sister program. He is an honor graduate of Yorktown High School.

 

 

2009 Ad Fed Minority Scholarship

Catherine Brake, Newburgh, a marketing and fashion junior at Ball State University, is the recipient of the 2008 and 2009 AdFed Minority Scholarship. She has a 3.98 grade point average (out of 4.0), is active account manager with Cardinal Communications and is a member of the American Advertising Federation Ball State University chapter. She is also in the Honors College program. She hopes to become a marketing director for a Fortune 500 company and hopes to eventually open her own boutique
