Advertising Education Day for High School Juniors and Seniors

Date: November 17, 2006

As a member benefit of the Ad Federation of East Central IN your child or family member, if they are a high school junior or senior, will be eligible for this educational opportunity. Space is limited to 20 so don't delay in returning the application form.

Purpose: To educate high school students about our industry and encourage them to enter advertising or a related career field.

During this program, students will participate in the day-long event that will introduce them to advertising professionals in the workplace and help them understand personal and business expectations of those workplaces and their clients. During these visits, students will gain exposure to the research, creation and placement of advertising in traditional and new media, multiplatform advertising campaigns and marketing strategies.

As part of the day's activities, students will be our guests at our organization's monthly luncheon meeting, which will begin at 11:30 a.m. at the Horizon Convention Center downtown, and will feature a presentation by Michael Becker, Vice President of Business Development from iLoop- Mobile based in San Jose California. The itinerary for the day is enclosed for your perusal.

The students are responsible for their own transportation to and from Rutter Communications. During the course of the day, transportation will be provided for the group by the Muncie Indiana Transit Bus System.
