Commercials have changed notably over the past decade. One of the biggest changes is in the use of audio. The proper use of sound and music can absolutely be the difference in a good commercial and a great one. In some cases, the wrong use of sound can make an expensive piece of film look and feel lackluster. In other cases, great sound can save a weak piece of film.
