Kaveri Subbarao, Esq.

Kaveri joined Reed Smith in 2003 as an associate in the Business and Regulatory Practice Group and works on a broad range of corporate matters including securities, advertising, intellectual property, mergers and acquisitions, and international law. She is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.

Kaveri was a Dean’s Fellow at the American University's Washington College of Law where she attended classes part-time while working full-time for the Exxon Mobil Corporation in roles managing business and marketing activities in North and South America. During her nearly six year tenure with ExxonMobil, she stewarded premier brands such as Mobil 1, Mobil, Exxon and Esso. Among her varied responsibilities, she negotiated and developed strategic alliances, major sponsorships and licensing agreements with entities such as NASCAR, Miller Brewing Company, General Motors and WalMart. Kaveri received her BA from Wheaton College in Massachusetts in Political Science and Economics.

Kaveri has guest lectured at American University’s Washington College of Law, the George Mason School of Law and the Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Sprout Fund (Pittsburgh, PA) and is an advocate for the Adoption Legal Services Program (Pittsburgh, PA). Kaveri is fluent in Sankethi, Kannada and French.
